02 — THE CHROMADISPLAY PERSPECTIVE

25 years of science.
A new creative vision.

For 25 years, VPixx Technologies has developed displays for vision science, where colour, timing and visual perception matter. ChromaDisplay brings that experience to creative studios, helping artists make informed visual decisions.

01

Start with the image.

Colour, contrast and perception are at the heart of the Studio vision.

02

Make precision meaningful.

Connect measurement and display engineering to the realities of creative work.

03

Build with creators.

Shape the experience around real studio workflows and conversations with the people behind the image.

PROGRAMMABLE AT THE CORE

Your vision evolves.
So can your display.

Built around FPGA technology. Designed for the next creative challenge.

At the heart of ChromaDisplay is an FPGA — a field-programmable gate array. Its reprogrammable processing architecture gives our engineers the flexibility to develop new display functions as creative workflows evolve.

From tailored image processing to new ways of presenting and comparing content, we can work with your studio to shape capabilities around your future artistic requirements.

YOUR WORKFLOW. YOUR CONFIGURATION.

Two colour spaces.
One creative canvas.

Custom configurations that bring your studio’s specific needs into view.

See different colour workflows, side by side.

Imagine reviewing Rec. 2020 processing on the left and Rec. 709 on the right — on the same screen, at the same time. A tailored split-screen configuration lets your team compare two colour treatments without switching between full-screen modes.

ChromaDisplay can develop custom configurations around the way you create, review and deliver images. Bring us your workflow; we’ll explore the processing, viewing modes and controls that make it work for you.

CUSTOM THERMAL ENGINEERING

Uniformity starts
behind the image.

A purpose-built heatsink. Engineered for exceptional uniformity.

Consistent images begin with a carefully controlled thermal environment. Our custom aluminium heatsink is designed around the display, with an extensive fin structure that spreads and dissipates heat across the assembly.

By helping limit temperature differences and thermal drift, this design supports consistent luminance and colour across the screen — giving artists a more dependable canvas for demanding visual decisions.

It is the engineering you rarely see, working behind every image you create.

A REFERENCE MONITOR FOR STEREOSCOPIC IMAGING

Studio Reference 3D.
Your reference for depth.

A dedicated 3D reference monitor for stereoscopic review.
Extraordinary depth. Uncompromising realism.

ChromaDisplay Studio Reference 3D monitor with artistic screen content

Evaluate every dimension.
With a 3D reference.

Studio Reference 3D is a dedicated OLED reference monitor for evaluating stereoscopic images. Designed for filmmakers, VFX artists and 3D specialists, it brings full QHD resolution to each eye with synchronized left- and right-eye presentation — so your team can assess depth, spatial relationships and fine detail with confidence.

Built on 25 years of vision science display expertise, it provides a consistent reference for stereoscopic review: examine depth choices, refine the balance between the two eye views and judge the intended sense of realism before delivery.

¹ 12 bpc refers to supported video modes, not a claim of native 12-bit panel depth. Peak brightness depends on window size. 3D viewing requires compatible active shutter glasses and an emitter; luminance through glasses is lower. VIEWPixx3 OLED platform specifications ↗
